For clients looking to build a new home, Code Septic Design will work hard to fit the septic system design into the overall development plan for the lot. We work closely with homeowners, landscape architects, builders, and excavating contractors to ensure the septic system is sited in such a way as to blend into the existing landscape. All of our septic designs meet Connecticut Public Health Code regulations.
Septic Repairs
Having a failed septic system is no picnic. The prospect of having to shell out thousands of dollars to replace a failed leach field can be troubling to most people. Our clients who are in need of a replacement (or expansion) of their existing septic system will find that we respond to their needs in an efficient, timely and cost-conscious manner.

Soil Testing
Code Septic Design will provide a detailed soil test and percolation test for you to determine the suitability of your property for a septic system.
New System Installation
If you are doing an addition to your home, adding a garage, accessory structure, or swimming pool, a B100a code compliant design will be necessary. Code Septic Designs will handle all of the permitting with the town, site evaluation and preliminary soil testing as needed for your new system installation.
Who are we?
Shaun Duffy, Registered Sanitarian (R.S) and licensed septic installer, has gained immense knowledge and understanding of the CT onsite Sewage Disposal Regulations through his 19+ years working for CT local health departments.
With his local health department background, Shaun was responsible for:
- Interprating soil layers in deep test pits and running percolation tests
- Reviewing/approving engineered and non-engineered septic proposals for code-compliance
- Field inspections of septic system installations
- B100a property evaluations
He is intimately familiar with all phases of septic system design and b100a requirements and is excited to bring his vast knowledge to his clients, with the level of service they require and can trust.
